Introduction

Welcome to The Place - Northstowe! We are a local business run by The Place Network Ltd. (company registration number 15750607, England and Wales). Our platform allows local businesses to promote their services for a fee.


By signing up to list your business on The Place - Northstowe website, you agree to comply with these Terms and Conditions, which form a legally binding agreement between you (the Partner) and us (Service Provider).  


1  Acceptance of These Terms

  • The acceptance of these terms apply as soon as you sign the Contract
  • Entire Agreement: These Terms are the complete agreement between us. Any additional terms or conditions you suggest won’t be valid unless we explicitly agree to them in writing and included into the contract.


2  Our Responsibiities

  • We promise to use reasonable care and skill in providing our services to current paid Partners.
  • We may need to make changes to our services if required by law or for safety reasons, and we will notify you if this happens.
  • The time to complete our services may vary, and if you request changes after signing the agreement, deadlines may shift.
  • We may remove or edit any content that we consider inappropriate or in violation of our rules.


3  Your Responsibilities

  • To list your business, promotions, or events on our site, you need to provide us, as your  service provider with all the required information (such as company details, images, and description) in a timely manner. 
  • You are responsible for ensuring that you have the legal rights (licenses and permissions) to use the materials you submit and that all information provided is accurate and lawful. Our site must not be used for any illegal or harmful purposes.
  • If you don't provide the necessary information, we may be unable to publish your business on the date we agreed or this may result a delay in going live on our website and social platforms.


4  Fees and Payments | Subscription Plan Terms

  • Subscription Plan: Your subscription plan will be charged a monthly fee, starting from the 1st day of the month closest to your service going live. Payments will be collected by direct debit.
  • Note: We may allow exceptions at our discretion.
  • Your subscription covers a paid listing on our website, tailored to the package you have chosen.
  • While we'll send occasional reminders to update your business information, it will be your responsibility to ensure all information live on the website are current and accurate.


  • Event Listings:  “What’s On” calendar and event details must be submitted by the 1st or 14th of each month - at least 14 days before the event. The calendar is updated bi-monthly on the 1st and 14th of each month.
  • We are not responsible for any incorrect or outdated information provided by your business. Please notify us of any changes to your business or activities as soon as possible
  • The maximum number of event is limited to 48 events per year from the joining date. Additional listings can be arranged at a negotiated rate.


  • Spotlights, Social Mentions, Editorial Features
  • Standard Package – Featured in a welcome post on social and in the monthly newsletter upon joining. When appropriate to topic, be included in communications and social mentions.
  • Premium Package – As above but with a guaranteed monthly inclusion across marketing platforms. Editorial feature to be agreed upon contract, 1 per year from contract date.
  • Job Listings - 5 per year included.


  • Additional Costs
  • If there are any extra expenses required to support your listing (such as graphic /website , copywriting or photography services) a charge may incur as part of an additional services.


  • Set-Up Fee
  • A non-refundable setup fee must be paid within 10 days of signing up.
  • Recurring subscription plans, payments will be taken on the 1st day of each month. New signup or request thereafter, follows on the first date of the nearest month.
  • Any promotional offer may vary and will be confirmed in writing


  • Payment Terms
  • You will be invoiced based on your chosen plan. Payments are due within 14 days of receiving an invoice. If payment is late, services may be paused, and a 5% interest will be charged on overdue amounts.
  • All fees are listed excludes VAT unless otherwise stated.
  • Listings or services will not go live until full payment is received.
  • Failure to pay may result in suspension or cancellation of your listing.


5  Cancelling or Changing Your Service

  • You or we can cancel the service before you accept the contract.
  • If you want to change your listing or any services, let us know in writing, and we will do our best to accommodate the changes, but extra costs may apply.
  • We may need to make changes to your service due to external factors (such as law changes or events beyond our control), and we will let you know as soon as possible.


6  Termination

  • We can terminate your listing if:
  • You violate any of our Terms and Conditions.
  • Payments are not paid in time.
  • The business faces insolvency or closure.


7  Data Protection

  • We may need to collect and process personal data (e.g., your business contact details) to provide our service. We will handle this data in line with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

8  Liability

  • Our total liability is limited to the amount you’ve paid in fees.
  • We are not liable for:
  • Any indirect or consequential losses (such as loss of profits or damage to reputation).
  • Any delays or failures caused by you not providing the necessary information.


9  Circumstances Beyond Our Control

  • Neither of us are liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our control (e.g., natural disasters, strikes, or other extraordinary circumstances).
  • If such events last for more than 90 days, either party can cancel the service.


10  Notices and Communication

  • Any important communications will be considered delivered when sent by email or received by post.


11  Changes and Updates

  • We reserve the right to update these Terms and Conditions as needed, and we will notify you if any significant changes are made.


12  Governing Law

  • These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be resolved in the English courts.


These terms were last updated on November 2024. We reserve the right to update or amend these terms. If changes are made, we will notify users, and continuing to use the service after changes means you accept the new terms.
